A few weeks ago I went to, yep another, week long Joe Dispenza meditation retreat. This time in Niagara Falls, New York. What an experience! I’ve done a lot of reflecting on my time there, and have concluded that beyond the innumerable benefits that take place on a cellular level, perhaps the most valuable part of the week long is to simply spend a week with yourself tuning inward, and experiencing what happens when we reconnect with our inner beings.
The before and after feelings on a somatic level before a week long of meditation (and when I say meditation, I mean roughly 40 hours in the quantum field) are not only palpable, but profound. I like to think of it as harmonizing your frequency like a radio receiver and tuning into wholeness. It’s quite the feeling when you realize how powerful you are!
During this week I intentionally deleted social media and kept my phone off. Every day felt like an eternity of invigorating presence spent with community, the self, and nature. Just this alone created so much joy, energy, and is something I want to create more of back in the world of the senses. We are living in the world of endless distraction and it’s becoming more important than ever to know how to harmonize your energy in the age of information overload.
This leads me to the topic of the necessity of finding resonance in our bodies on a day to day basis. Our brains were not made to process so much stimulus and information on a daily basis, and this is what’s causing us to feel tired, disconnected, and anxious. It’s because we’re constantly being shown what we need to feel better about ourselves, and this causes a belief that once we (have, are, do) this THING outside of ourselves, we will feel wonderful and complete. And that, is where our consciousness on the planet is shifting. Because most of us are over-consuming and still feeling incomplete. Why?
I believe Covid gave us this beautiful gift of stillness, forcing us to sit still and tune inward. To feel into our lives we’ve created thus far, to be with our relationships, ourselves, our neurosis of our minds. It was unavoidable to most of us, and forced a light to be shown on all aspects of our lives and illuminate the darkness. This stillness is something that is not natural to most of us, given we live in the world of consumption and values based that intrinsically ties our worthiness in “getting more done.” I believe this shifted so many of us towards a journey of growth and becoming more conscious of our patterns.
And with that, today I’m sharing my favorite practices of how to harmonize your frequency to wholeness on a daily basis in a world of information overload. Think of yourself as a radio, tuning your dial towards your favorite station of connection, love, wholeness, gratitude. When you align to these higher frequencies, theres two main benefits. One, you drop into feeling and being, which allows the body to integrate information, process and heal. Two, you become a magnet with brain and heart coherence and amplify optimal situations to you.
There’s many ways to access this frequency, and I’d love to offer some activities that will help connect you back with your very essence.
Harmonizing Your Frequency to Wholeness
1. Dancing / Embodied Movement
Emotion is just energy in motion. If we avoid feeling a feeling, it gets stuck in our body and creates blockages, energetic stagnation, and drains our life force. Conscious movement is an amazing practice to help move through feelings by embodying them!
Getting you out of the mind and into the body is important, so don’t think too much or analyze how “good” you’re doing! The intention is to tune into sensation in the body and feel it. By doing that, the feelings can be released back into moving energy. Spend 10 minutes playing your favorite song (depending on your mood of course) and just enjoy how it feels to move. Maybe moving slowly at first helps you connect and sense inward. How do even the slightest movements feel in your body? Just be with what comes up, maybe a scream or a cry wants to come up and out. This is your safe space to feel everything and anything. Whose watching anyway?!
2. Singing / Chanting
Harmonizing you to you through the power of your voice, whether you consider yourself to be skilled in this area or not (me either). Chanting mantra or singing in a group has changed my life in the most profound way. Sound is vibration, and tuning in to YOUR sound and/or the resonance of a group in a mediative way connects us to our essence, to source if you will. Music is such a joy of life, and a beautiful practice of feeling into the present moment. After a kirtan or jam sesh (alone or with others), notice how you feel. For me, it’s clear, light, and aligned to an elevated vibration. Not a bad way to spend a Sunday.
3. Walking In Nature
Can you feel the stillness of your mind when you enter a forest? Or walking by the ocean? There’s something intrinsically calming about connecting with our mother, and creating time to do this creates a container for us to just BE, and to harmonize with our inner beings. If you live in a city, perhaps find a park or green space with life growing in it. Even if it’s one little sunflower or an area frequented by robins. And if nature is not immediately available to you, try listening to a meditation track of birds in the forest and visualizing yourself there. Our imaginations are so powerful, wouldn’t you know!
4. Meditation
This is an obvious one, but the quickest way and one that is always available to you, is to close your eyes and focus on nothing. Sometimes an emotion is prevalent in the body, so allow yourself to feel it without judgment. It’s so easy yet so challenging, isnt it!
If you are a new meditator, I promise the benefits you will feel will outweigh all the doubts you have about why it isn’t available to you, or why you’re not good at it. Since I started meditating about 5 years ago I’ve healed my depression, felt a deeper sense of inner peace on a day to day basis, and have been more equipped to respond rather than react during my day. In short, I feel more love (for no good reason at that!) and laugh more. Haha.
Harmonizing your frequency to love, wholeness, gratitude, these vibrations are the golden potions of life. And if you start your day in love with life, well now you’ve got some real power.
5. Mirror Gazing
Making eye contact with YOU (yes, you!) for an extended period of time is freaking uncomfortable. In fact, downright daunting at first! However, the eyes are the window to the soul and creating connection to your soul is a quick way to create intimacy with yourself and harmonize you with your inner being.
I invite you in, to see what you can discover. So much has come up for me during these sessions, often I am shown old stories and narratives of unworthiness in some capacity, for me to feel and move through. Another practice you can do is put a picture of yourself as a child on your mirror and spend a few minutes connecting with them daily, seeing them loved healed and whole, and fully taken care of by your adult self.
Try a few of the practices above and see what sticks. There are tools I use to reconnect with myself and attune and harmonize my frequency. Remember, where you put your attention you put your energy and ultimately create from. When you’re connected to your heart, your energy becomes quite literally magnet (the heart and brain coherence creates an electromagnetic field around the body which magnetizes experiences TO you.) You can read more about becoming a quantum creator here.
I’ll be curious to hear any other things you do to harmonize your frequency in the age of information overload. Drop a comment below or share on your favorite social media platform and let me know if this benefited you in some way. Sending you love, light and the wholeness I know is inside of you.
